A significant partnership was forged between ASEAN and the prestigious Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) in celebration of the 56th Founding Anniversary of the union, making it in the Regional Gad Resource Center (RGADRC). This collaboration underscores a commitment to advancing regional development, highlighting the theme, “ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth.”

This partnership set the stage for an era of collective action, inspiring educational institutions to promote Gender and Development (GAD) programs and initiatives. in line with this. a Super Quiz Bee: battle of GADvocates was held where CCDI’s Coleen Chu, BSCS IV student, bested 30 colleges and universities from all over Bicol Region, with the help of her coach, Mr. Aaron Paul Ramos, Chairperson of BS of Computer Science Department.

the Culmination, the highlight of celebration, was held on November 13, 2023 in Legazpi City to recognize the institutions and students who has manifested outstanding support to the cause of the union. Chu and her coach were awarded and recognized by Atty. Septon A. Dela Cruz, CESO III, the esteemed Regional Director. Calabangga Community College claimed 1st Runner, Daraga Community College was hailed 2nd Runner Up. GOA Community College came 4th Runner Up, and Tiwi Community College was awarded 5th Runner Up.

 

These institutions not only epitomize academic excellence but also operates as role models of collaborative practices. fostering the development of a more diverse and cooperative educational landscape in the region. As CCDI emerged triumphant, it served as an inspiration for other educational institutions to continue their efforts in creating an inclusive and gender-sensitive education landscape.
