Paul Mark Yu, a third-year Computer Science student competed for IT Software Solutions for Business, a programming event held in the Abu Dhabi Exhibition Center. It is a three-day competition where competitors are given various business problems to solve. Time, accuracy, and design are among the top criteria of the competition.
Coached by Edward Reyes, Paul competed against dozens of student-programmers aged  21 to 22 from all over Asia region who had undergone eliminations in their respective countries.
Philippines was ranked 6th in this category dominated by Chinese Taipei this year. Having met the standard, Paul Mark might represent the country in France for World Skills 2024.
It is noted that CCDI has already won several world medals in this competition in the previous years.
Other than Paul, a novice is being trained by CCDI Sorsogon for World Skills Asean – Philippines this 2024.
