After series of eliminations, Cymon Nezortado, BS Computer Science student of Computer Communication Development Institute- Sorsogon Campus representing Region 5 is adjudged as Gold Medalist in the recently concluded Philippine Skills Olympics – pre-qualification selection process held last May 15 – 18, 2018 in Taguig City.

He will represent the Philippines in Thailand for the Asean Skills Competition inI.T. Software Solutions for Business category this August, 2018. He will be joined by the champions of Myanmar, Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia and Brunei. Winners in this category will represent the Asean Region in the World Skills Olympics.

Coached by Mr. Edward G. Reyes, Cymon got the score of 93% outscoring his closest rival Anthony Cabigayan of Region 3 who got a score of 88% in the competition rating scale.

Prior to this pre-qualification to World Skills, Cymon was adjudged Champion in Regional Skills Competition and Luzon Cluster Philippine Skills Olympics.

It has been noted that CCDI’s Joven Hayagan won three medals last year in this I.T. category who bagged Gold in China International Skills Competition, Silver in Asean Skills Competition, Kuala Lumpur and Medallion of Excellence in Abu Dhabi.
